Why do I need to stain my fence?
Staining your fence protects it from the three things that damage it most: Water, mold/mildew and the suns harmful UV rays. If not stained your fence will begin to fade and get sprinkler damage within 3 months. Within one year your fence will already have begun to gray with mold and mildew.
Can I stain my fence myself ?
If you take a trip to your local mega-hardware store, they will tell you: "Oh yeah, just get some of this stain here and put it on with a pump sprayer". Unfortunately, it's not that easy. There are many tools and chemicals needed to apply stain properly. Not to mention a good quality stain. (All stains are not created equal!) If you don't spray the stain on perfectly even, your going to get drips and spotty work. If you don't have the right chemicals your just going to end up with a big and permanent mess. We've spent years perfecting our techniques, let us do the job your property deserves.
How long does a stained fence last?
In most cases, one coat of stain will last 12-18 months and two coats will last 3-5 years before reapplication is necessary. If kept up with properly you can enjoy your beautifully stained fence for 20+ years. Isn't that better than one year and then having to look at a old looking gray fence.
How many colors do you offer?
Unlike most fence staining companies who offer only one or two colors, we offer our customers dozens of colors to choose from. Our professionals will be happy to help you choose just the right color to compliment your home or business.
How soon should I stain my fence after installation?
In general, a new fence should be stained between 3 weeks and 3 months of installation. This gives the wood proper time to "dry out".
The longer you wait, the more faded your wood becomes and you will loose some of the natural characteristics that make stained fences so attractive.
My tence is already gray. Is it to late to stain it?
Not at all. It just means that it needs to be cleaned before any stain is applied. Our cleaning process will kill the mold and mildew turning your fence gray and restore it to like new condition. Please look at the "Our Services" page for before & after photos.
Can I clean my fence without staining it?
The cleaning process tends to dry out the wood taking some of the natural oils with it. Staining your fence will replace those oils while adding protection from water, mold, mildew and UV damage.
My fence was stained before and now it is turning gray. Can it be cleaned?
